The most brutal workouts are often the workouts that
looks the easiest.
Don't jump the gun though, and lemme tell you why :)
They might only be 3 or 4 exercises.
It's not the quantity, it's the quality.
This is exactly what happened this morning during our VPT Bootcamp http://vptbootcamp.eventbrite.com/
It was 55 degrees or so.
The sun was shining and and the Gladiators were ready for battle.
Time? 7:10 AM
This was an EPIC day!
We picked 3 exercises and finished with a conditioning drill.
The workout kicked EVERYONE'S butt.
There was NO fancy equipment involved.
There was NO special set and rep combo.
There was NO special rest period in between sets.
Our weapons of mass construction:
- A 300 lb tractor tire
- A Barbell
- Our Body
- The Prowler
In fact, the ONLY special thing about our
morning workout was
the insanity and intensity we all approached
the workout with.
There were 11 of us, and we trained like we were mad and possessed
I get goosebumps thinking about it.
We were ripping through the tire and the weights
like they were half as light.
It was almost as if I was infused with superhuman
powers this morning.
When the workout was over it was clear that this workout
was downright awesome.
Some of the bootcampers were hanging on the fence.
Others were crouched over.
I reminded them..... recover standing up.
Stand tall.
Remain strong, both in mind and body.
Do NOT fear the pain and discomfort.....
Instead, CHASE it.
That's right, stare it square in the eyes and charge into battle.
The next time you're looking for a fancy workout or a fancy, scientific, specially programmed workout
designed by a Russian Scientist.....
Think Again....
Go simple, basic and focus on applying gut busting intensity.
The results will follow. Period.
