Top Tips For 2011

I hope you had a fantastic Christmas holiday and are getting ready for a wonderful New Year's celebration. This is always such a wonderful time of the year with the holidays and all the joy it often brings.

One reason I enjoy this week so much is that it seems like we all "slow down " a bit from the normal chaotic pace that we often keep. I liken it to that of an athlete in "The Zone." When I watch world class athletes compete, they often state that the game "slows down" when they are performing at their highest levels; whether it be a baseball player on a torrid hitting streak, a basketball player who just can't seem to miss as shot, or a football quarterback whose game "just comes to him." This is often referred to as "The Zone."

As we prepare for yet another year and set new goals, remember that the fastest way to achieve these goals is not always by going as fast as you can. Sometimes we need to actually purposely slow down to speed up to get in the Zone. This alone helps create clarity for our goals.

Take this week to write. To plan. To strategize. To relax. To refresh and rejuvenate. To start anew. To focus on your health and fitness. And to simply slow down and catch your breath.

I thank you for an IMPACTful 2010! As we slow down a bit this week to refocus and reenergize, enjoy the process of "slowing down." It feels so good and before you know it, you may even find yourself in "The Zone." Revel in it!

Peace & blessings,

I wish you and your family a very Happy New Year in "The Zone."
