Make the day about him.
As you well know, once you become a parent, letting a day, or for that matter - even a few hours be about you can be a chore. Make the day about what he enjoys. If he’s a golfer, set a tee time and let him play a round then follow up with a cookout later in the day. If he’s a sports fan, take him to a game. Base the day around what he enjoys.

• Gifts are great – if they’re great gifts.
That doesn’t mean expensive, just thoughtful. The golf or ballgame was a perfect example. Just pass on the ‘let’s get Dad a tie for Father’s Day.’ Not a good plan. , I know mydad would prefer a $5 gift that is thoughtful over a $500 gift that isn’t.

Make today a starting point.
If you’re like most couples, you probably have a million and one things going on and sometimes it can be a battle to spend as much time together as you’d like. Use Father’s Day as a kind of mid-year Resolution time and commit to start spending a little more time together as a family. Here’s a tip – schedule time to ‘hang out’, both as a family and as a couple. I learned the hard way If you can schedule everything else, there’s no reason family time should be treated with any less importance.

Get him to workout
If you want to get him to workout with you or just have a program that will offer similar results than my one-on-one training and also can be done in just a few minutes a day, go with my Velocity Performance Training For Fat Loss Program (reserve your copy now for only $39.95 by emailing me now at marty@VelocityPerformanceTraining.com).

OK – that’s it. Follow these tips and you’ll be well on your way to helping your husband or dad have a great Father’s Day and who knows, you might even get a little more family time and a ‘fitter’ husband, dad, brother out of it as an added bonus!
